The Indiana Cross Country Arena with its neighbors, partners and supporters are proud to serve in a roll as Urban Wilderness Trail Gatekeepers to more than 100 acres of Indiana wildlife habitat reclamation efforts in the context of an "Undevelopment Project" coordinated with Indy Parks and White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis. The unique green space habitat includes both the Community and Champions Cross Country Courses that are connected by a developing natural surface trail allowing visitors pedestrian access to a dynamic array of Indiana flora and fauna. Ongoing research in the trail corridor is prominent with IUPUI's Center for Earth & Environmental Studies' Lilly Arbor Project and numerous environmental and wellness educational programming opportunities are being planned and implemented in concert with Reconnecting to Our Waterways and Near West ROW initiatives.
